The Ferros

Lucas and Paula Ferro are serving the Lord with AMG Guatemala. They have two children, Zoe and Tomás. They have been missionaries in Guatemala since 2011. Lucas is Argentinian, Paula is Guatemalan, and their two children are also Guatemalan. Lucas is currently serving as the Executive Director of Ministry at AMG Guatemala, helping to connect with local churches and overseeing Camp Canaan, Pastoral Training Center, Disaster Relief TAVA, Christian education, and spiritual care programs.

Paula is an architect, so she helps with construction projects, and is a full-time mom, homeschooling both Tomi and Zoe. Lucas and Paula planted Grace Community Church in 2019, where Lucas serves as pastor and Paula is in charge of the Sunday School program. "This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him." 1 John 4:9 NIV

This past year God brought new people to church. There are 3 new families that are serving in different areas, Sunday school, worship and communities. We finished all our legal paperwork, by God’s grace we are able to be a formal church, with all the legal obligations covered, this process took us almost 4 years, so we are very happy about that.

Please pray for the pastoral residency that we started one month ago, we have three men in the process of becoming elders of the church. They are very gifted and love God. And we pray that we can present the 3 of them as new elders in March 2026. Please be praying for us as a family, for wisdom and guidance as God shows us His will for our lives.

We want to keep growing in communion with Him and with each other. We are planning on opening two new community groups, and we want to see God bring new people to Christ and help all of us to grow in Him. The pastoral residency is a blessing but also a challenge. We are praying that God can work in our lives so we can serve him in a way that brings honor and Glory to His name.
