Guatemala Missions Trip

March 20-29, 2025

Questions and Answers

What will we be doing?

Our team will be partnering with Lucas Ferro (Acts 29 Church Planter and AMG missionary in Guatemala) and his church, Iglesia Communidad Gracia, at a summer camp called Camp Canaan. At-risk youth from the 30 AMG schools throughout the country spend a week at this camp where they hear the gospel preached and where local leaders and counselors spend time demonstrating the love of Christ to them. Our role during the week at camp will be to assist the Guatemalan camp staff by leading games and other activities for the students (ages 10-13).

Where will we be staying?

Our team will be staying at an AMG guest house for a few of the nights when we first arrive, and then for the rest of the time we will be staying in the at Camp Canaan while we are serving there.

AMG has been operating in Guatemala since 1974, and has hosted hundreds of short term teams. Their housing, transportation, security, and meal logistics are all very well dialed in.

How much will it cost?

We are still working out the total cost for this trip, but for reference, our previous trip cost $1600 per participant, which included everything except for any passport fees and discretionary spending for souvenirs. Team members will be expected to participate in group fundraising opportunities, through which we hope to significantly reduce the financial burden on each participant.
