In this sermon from Acts 8:9-25, we look at the example of Simon the Magician. Simon offers money to the disciples in exchange for the ability to give the gift of the Spirit by the laying on of hands. Peter rebukes him sharply and admonishes him to repent. This story is a reminder that we cannot fake a relationship with God. To follow Christ requires a transformed heart, and ultimately our lives will show if this transformation has taken place. Does God have our hearts, and do our lives reflect this? From our Sunday service at Grace Bible Church of Bend.
