Update from Orphanages of Kenya: Hello Grace Bible Church! It has been several weeks since we brought the Orphanages of Kenya Bottle and Can opportunity to your attention. Along with you “old timers,” there may be some new attendees who do not know about this program. We collect only bottles and cans on which you paid a deposit for reimbursement at the grocery store, and this money helps support orphans in Kenya. To date, we have collected nearly $1000 through this project. Almost everyone has recyclables for which they paid a deposit (wine, peanut butter, and applesauce don’t count, ha! – yes, we have received these), so it is very easy to collect these cans and bottles and bring them to the OOK recycle bins on the north side of the administration building after church on Sundays. There will be a friendly attendant there to help you deposit them. If you need to drop them off at another time, just leave your bags on the pallet in front of the recycle bins and we will take care of them. You will be assisting to rescue children from certain premature death if we did not help. Thanks from the children and the board of the Orphanages of Kenya!
Our 2019 Women’s Retreat at Washington Family Ranch will be October 18th-20th, and will bring together women from a number of Acts29 Northwest churches! Please join us for a time of refreshment, encouragement, and renewal. Click the link below for more information and to register.REGISTER HERE
Did you miss last week’s sermon? Watch “Are You Ready?” from Luke 12:35-48.
This Sunday we will look together at Luke 11:5-13, as we continue our summer sermon series on The Parables of Jesus. We encourage you to read ahead and come prepared to hear from God’s word.

August Missionary Highlight | The Smiths
The missionaries that we are highlighting this month serve in an area of the world that requires that we use discretion in how we share information online. Please pick up a bulletin on Sunday or check the Grace Bible Weekly email for more information about our missionaries and how you can pray for them.
