In 1 Corinthians 2:1-5, Paul sets an example of resting in the power of God for the salvation of men. He reminds the Corinthians that he did not come to them as the great philosophers of their day, appealing to them with lofty words or the world’s wisdom. He came to them in weakness and the fear of God, relying on the preaching of the gospel and the power of the Holy Spirit to change lives. Like Paul, do we humbly share the gospel with others, relying not on our own persuasiveness, but on the power of God to save? From our Sunday service at Grace Bible Church of Bend.
