Hi, Grace Bible Church!
Here’s a brief rundown of what’s coming up over the next days and weeks at Grace:
Ladies, our Christmas brunch is coming up this Saturday! Our focus will be on “Abiding in Christ This Christmas.” This will be a wonderful time to enjoy fellowship, sharing and a potluck brunch with other ladies of Grace. Please RSVP by clicking the link below.RSVP for the Brunch
We hope you can join us as we celebrate the birth of our Lord this Christmas! We will have our regular Sunday morning service on December 23rd at 9:30 am, as well as a candlelight Christmas Eve service on December 24th at 5:00 pm. We look forward to celebrating together!
Our Christmas Eve service (Dec. 24 @ 5pm) is just under three weeks away, and we’re hoping to have volunteers bring Christmas cookies and treats to share after the service. We would like to have at least 20 dozen plates of cookies – both regular and gluten free options. The cookies need to be dropped off at the tables in the foyer by 4:45 pm, and then we will enjoy them after the service is finished. Please click the link below if you are able to bring some treats, or if you’d be available to help with set up or clean up. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!BRING COOKIES OR VOLUNTEER
We’ve created an Advent and Christmas playlist on Spotify to help you familiarize yourself with the songs that we’ll be singing together this December. There are so many good songs both old and new that we get to sing this season, and we pray that they serve you well in helping the word of Christ to dwell in you richly!
After sending out many faithful servants to go help plant Grace Bible Redmond, we have a need for four more adults to serve in non-teaching positions in our Children’s Ministry. If you would like to help out in this area, contact Andrew Sullivan at email@example.com.
Grace is looking for a part time Graphic Designer & Creative Team Lead. Check out the linked job description and send in your resume by December 14th if you’re interested!JOB DESCRIPTION
Because the City is going to be closing in just a few weeks, we are transitioning all online giving over to a new platform called Planning Center Giving. Please transition over to Planning Center as soon as you can for your online giving to Grace by clicking the link below. For gifts to count toward 2018 giving, be sure to complete online transactions by Dec. 29th, and mailed checks must be dated & postmarked no later than the 31st. Thank you for supporting the ministry of Grace Bible Church!PLANNING CENTER GIVING
We’d like to remind you that Orphanages of Kenya has provided a bottle and can drop-off at GBC as a way to raise money for the ministry. This has the potential to make a big difference! Recently a volunteer took four bags of donated cans and bottles to the store, and got about $85 for them. He believes that if the church were to really get on board with this, 1 or 2 more children could be sponsored at the Promised Land in Kenya!
Bring your recyclable cans and bottles to church on Sundays and deposit them in the drop-off located on the north side of the administration building. It will be open every Sunday after church on an ongoing basis. There will be a team member there to assist you with your deposits. For more detailed information on how and what to donate, click on the “more information” button below.MORE INFORMATION
Did you miss last week’s sermon? Watch “Our Great Redeemer” from Ruth 3:1-18.
This Sunday we will look together at Ruth 4:1-12, as we continue our study of the book of Ruth. We encourage you to read ahead and come prepared to hear from God’s word.
Click the titles below to listen to the songs that we’ll sing this weekend, or even better, go subscribe to our Sunday’s Songs playlist on Spotify!
November Missionary Highlight | Brodie & Katie McClain
After four years of church planting near downtown L.A., the Lord began to slowly place a burden on the hearts of Brodie and Katie McClain for unreached and unchurched areas across the globe. After a lot of prayer and a short-term trip, the Lord led them to the Republic of Georgia as the answer to this prayer. Working with a fellowship of national believers, the goal is to see a gospel church planted in each of the 6000 villages across the country (currently they estimate around 20 such churches exist). Alongside church-planting efforts, the McClains have a desire to minister to orphans and widows, with the aim of setting up an orphanage and a place of refuge in Georgia. They have also established an English school, which is a fairly intense program meeting four times per week. There are currently about twenty students involved.
