Grace Bible Church is Moving Locations!

February 21st, Pastor Phil Kooistra

I am excited to announce that we have finalized the details of our move into the Boys and Girls Club of Central Oregon (Located Downtown Bend)  This facility is more than we could have asked for and at a price that we can afford.

The Boys and Girls Club is located at 500 NW Wall St. in Downtown (Just south of and accross the street from the Library)

A map can be found here http://g.co/maps/fqh4e

Our last service in our current location will take place on Sunday Feb. 26th.  After that service we will pack up all of our stuff from the theater and drive it over the Boys and Girls Club to unload.  We will have a lunch for everyone who is able to help us move on that day.

Our first service in the Boys and Girls club will be on March 4th.  Our worship service time will still be at 10 AM.

While we will have on site storage of our stuff, we will still need to set up and tear down every Sunday.   We would welcome anyone who would like to join our setup team.

I am eager to see how God will continue to bless us in this new phase of ministry at Grace Bible Church as we live as a family, on mission, for His glory!

Upcoming Apologetics Event in Bend

September 30th, Pastor Phil Kooistra

I told a friend I would let our church family know about this event.  Just FYI if anyone wants to go.
Prepare the Way Ministries Presents:
The Worldview and Apologetics Conference
at Christian Life Center, Bend, Oregon
October 21-22, 2011
Are You Ready?
Do you feel confident when faced with the tough questions of the Christian faith?
Would you like to become more grounded in your worldview? Join us!

Geared towards adults. (Mature teens are welcome)
No cost to attend. Offering will be taken to help us cover the costs of the event.
Go to http://www.PrepareTheWay.us  for more info and to register.
Most Christians have a hard time clearly articulating the reasons for the faith and providing answers to a skeptical generation. Nationally known author and speaker Sean McDowell (Son of Josh) and worldview expert Craig Hazen, Ph.D. (BIOLA Professor) will equip the body of Christ to “always be ready to give a logical defense” of the Christian faith. Craig and Sean are engaging speakers who will keep you on the edge of your seat.

“In your hearts set Christ apart as holy [and acknowledge Him] as Lord. Always be ready to give a logical defense [Apologia] to anyone who asks you to account for the hope that is in you. But do it courteously and respectfully.” – 1 Peter 3:15

September 28th, Pastor Phil Kooistra

Just a reminder that the North Side Community group is not meeting this week and will be focused on using that night to get together with neighbors.  This group will meet up the following Wed. 10/5.

So if you were thinking of visiting this group… you might want to check out the East Side group this week instead and then visit the N. side group the following week.

Also if you live in or near Redmond we will be starting a new group for the Sister/Redmond area very soon!

Grace and Peace,

Phil

Great time at the Picnic!

September 12th, Pastor Phil Kooistra

Great time at the picnic yesterday!  The only downfall was I lost at Croquet.

Sounds like everyone is up for planning another one before the summer weather is completely gone.  I will let you know more details when we have them.

Thanks to everyone who came and made the afternoon a great time.  For all those who missed out this time… hope to see you at the next one!

So grateful for all that God is doing at Grace Bible Church!
